What's New in Version 2.0 of CommunityTSC (D2OL)
After 18 months of design and testing, Version 2.0 contains many
long awaited features held back from earlier releases. The following
highlights some of these improvements.
Client Changes
Improved general libraries (more stable code).
Uses java 1.4.1.
Much larger queue sizes allowed (up to 2000).
Display of statistics in the node should be less confusing.
Server Communications consolidated using services architecture.
Single communication handshake.
Status Dialog to display all comm. statuses with reasons for
failures (if any).
Ability to force a manual communication handshake.
All communication objects/files are zipped for speed.
All communication objects/files are checksummed for validity.
Installers will be available with and without an included JVM.
Scrolling Headlines added.
Hotlink image and URL added.
Displays thumbnails of the previous 5, current, and next 5 candidates.
Can view the email address that was used to register (in about
dialog).
Display of true number of conformers analyzed.
Can flush the entire task queue and task data files.
Fixed JMol rendering issue.
Checks for new versions and notifies user when one is available.
Generates XML files in the res directory that can be used by
3rd party applications
Supports a screensaver mode of operation.
Increased display of statistics in the Agent GUI. 
Server Changes
Servers have been split up for scale and better troubleshooting
of problems.
Higher end application server hardware
Server monitoring application.
Member services functionality extended.
XML statistics API for bots and scrapers.
Supports multiple instances of any server component.
